New Hackintosh (adjusted Customac)

Hi,

I currently have the Macbook Pro Retina 2012 15 inch and want instead of one kinda heavy overpowered laptop a powerful desktop and a laptop (will probably be the Macbook Air or a chromebook).
The speed of my MBPR was fine for me, I'd like to have the same speed or faster, not slower. I didn't use it vey heavy, but did do some Final Cut pro editing.

My idea for the Mackintosh is this, I slightly adjusted it because some parts aren't available in my country or have bad reviews. And I changed the case because this one looks better

  • ASUS Z97 - A motherboard €130
  • Intel i5 4590 €175
  • EVGA GeForce GT 740 €90,- klik en klik
  • 8GB 1600Mhz DDR3 €70
  • SSD 256 GB (Crucial MX100) €90
  • Fractal Design R4 €90
  • Power Seasonic S12II-Bronze 520W €50,-.
  • WiFi draadloze netwerkkaart TP-Link TL-WDN4800 €30
Will this work? And you guys have any tips to change? Total price would be €700 (I think about $900). Because I have a few doubts:
- Do I really need a graphics card? And will this one be any better than the processors graphics?
- I chose the i5 4590, is it much difference to upgrade to i7 or is this fine?
- Will the motherboard work with a Hackintosh ?

For the screen I'd like to get the Dell Ultraharp U241H because it looks so good.

Thanks very much!

thanks,

any advices in graphic card? Won't do gaming, bit video editting?
Will the GeForce GT 740 be fine for me?

It's a basic entry level card. Won't be great for FCP X but if you don't do much with
video it is sufficient.

OK thx, I will definitely edit a few vids per year.
Probably better if I'll spend a little bit more.
Would the GeForce GTX760 recommended in the Buyers Guide be a good call or can I get something cheaper and what will work good with FCP?
