That relates to HWsensors that comes as part of the updated FakeSMC, they are combined in the same package. Have you updated to the latest version ?

You could also check out a program called 'Machine Profile' by Micromat. I use it to check that the basic system definition and hardware are all reported correctly.

Sample output from my real Mac Mini here :

HWmonitor say I'm up to date.

And this is what Machine Profile returns.

Regarding your p-states, I think there should be more, although an article on pikes website suggests this is not always the case.

In any case, have a look for a couple of tools you can use which are:

1. Intel Power Gadget - Link

2. AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementInfo.kext - Link

The second link will give you more accurate results than DPCI_Manager. When monitoring p-states, the longer you leave it the more accurate the result will be, since it will take a while for some states to be reached. If you run it for say 30 minutes while carrying out your normal work on the computer, the result should be better.

I believe I read the article you reference as well. There was a reduction in performance with the increase in p-states. I'll check out the tools.

Regarding the kernels in console, if I understood correctly, you were able to get your NUC system running without kernels? Do you think that is feasible for this system configuration?

If you mean without kernel panics, then yes.

If you mean without kernel entries in the log, that would be impossible.

Go into the logs, filter on the keyword 'kernel', then post the result.

Everything in your kernel filter list looks fine.

There are some entries regarding ioctl and unknown locale, all of which are down to using an atheros wireless card (They are cleaner with broadcom cards usually), but nothing to really worry about in there.

There is an AGPM Controller message there to, but I think thats down to your graphics card choice.

Ok then. I suppose I'm done for now?

Edit: I took a shot at the PowerManagement.kext and came up with bupkiss so I will try and get it working tomorrow.

Hey Donkey just a quick update. I've been installing software, and the bare minimum plugins (i.e. flash). The system has remained stable and I haven't run into any surprises:thumbup: Benchmarks and test are going great. I'll be sure to post when I've wrapped this build up.

In other news... I showed my sister your NUC project and she was pretty excited about it. I just may have the opportunity to tackle a new build soon. :D

Well the current NUC guide works flawlessly so you should be good to go with that. I do suggest you read up about the possible audio issues though. Not major and of no concern at all if you use HDMI audio or DP audio, but still worth checking out.
