Use your UniBeast USB installer drive to boot the system and when the Clover menu comes up, select the "External" option. This will boot the installer and once it has, do not proceed but instead use Disk Utility to check your macOS destination drive is in the correct format. Also check its drive ID - "disk0s2" or similar etc.
With that use Terminal, which is available in the Tools menu at the top, to mount the EFI partition. The drive ID for this should be the drive ID before the main drive, such as:
Code:
sudo -s
mkdir /Volumes/EFI
diskutil mount -mountPoint /Volumes/EFI /dev/disk0s1
This should put the otherwise hidden EFI partition on your desktop. You can now check what is in there. You can also check what format the EFI partition is in.
