NEC uPD720201 - Works on Mavericks 10.9.2

Hello,

I just bought 4-Port USB3.0 PCI PCI-E Express Card 4-pin IDE Power Connector NEC uPD720201 on ebay for 8,55 GBP

Link to ebayThe PCI card works directly on my hackintosh (Mac OSX 10.9.2 && Windows 8.1 updated).

My Motherboard : Gygabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H

Be careful when you power on your computer after build the pci card, for me, the ssd with macosx didn't boot. The solution was to reset the bios and all is OK.

Must have been an April joke ....... (posted April 1st) .... I assume.

In case not :
I just bought the same adapter (the 2 port version which has the same chip) for my original Mac Pro 3,1 - which has Mavericks (10.9.5) installed and ist doesn't work at all.
It's not even seen by the 'system information'.

If you have an drivers / kexts to install this with 10.9.x - I'd be very interested.

Interestingly enough, the 3.1 card seems to have drivers for OSX - can be found i.e. at the large auction house when looking for USB-3-1-Gen-II-10-Gbit-s-Typ-C-und-Typ-A-2-Port-PCI-Express-PCI-E-Karten
