After upgrading to 10.9.2, my pc is running when I get home. It happens every day. Wake from network is off. Not sure what to look for. Is it an Apple thing, like software update? Is there a log somewhere that would show who is accessing it?

Bump

I'd also like to know. i just finished my build and it have it on 10.9.2.....I shut down thru the mac and it shuts down but 2 seconds later it starts back up. I don't know why either

Thanks for all advice.

System logs didn't reveal anything unusual but did show times. I kinda ruled out OSX but don't know enough about Windows 7.
I couldn't find a bios setting for waking by lan. In power management I did find "Resume by alarm" was enabled. I disabled it—we'll see.

Now I'm betting it's the BIOS settings or NSA :silent: I recently fiddled with bios settings to get my turbo Enabled. I never new it was off but that's another story.

I'll poke around the BIOS settings some more.

Koalaman Sorry about the Wolverines. I'm a fan too...grew up real close... er...tried anyway.

Just had a thought: maybe it was in a hibernate mode or something

Haha yeah, I'm a freshman here. If I can remember, my fix to this problem was wake from lan and/or "power up after failure."

Im pretty sure Wake-On-Lan is available in your bios. You should double check.

I couldn't find it. BUT turning off the resume Alarm thing solved the problem. No more mysterious start ups.

Thanks!
