I encountered a Multibeast install failure too during my installation.
It turns out my SATA hard drive (and also DVD writer) were having performance issues because it was running very slow.
In my case, I found out that a kext was interfering with my SATA drivers. I deleted the file AppleHPET.kext
rebooted
Then, my hard drive access and DVD access/SATA access became fast. No more lag or "freezing" for a few seconds.
After that, Multibeast was able to complete successfully.
I'm just saying that sometimes things that you think are not related could be the one causing a KP or your Multibeast install failing.
