MSI Z87 G45 Installing and Post-installing

Hi everyone, I would like to install Mavericks on my PC before I build my own Hackintosh.

I followed the instructions of the first message. I patched my BIOS (v1.8) with PMPatch and this is the result : http://puu.sh/adGQV.png

I reput my BIOS with the default settings and when I boot on my USB key (create with UniBeast) the grey screen with Apple's logo appears but a few seconds later I have this error : http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2014/29/1405505870-photo.jpg

How could I fix this problem ?

Did either of you 2 get this running? I've got the same issue with a Z97 patched mobo. Does anyone else know how to get this working?

Hi everyone, I am currently trying to intsall 10.9 on my G45 Z87 board using unibeast and am running into some issues. Mainly whenever I try to launch the installer the apple screen will flash very briefly then the computer will restart. In verbose mode it seems to be going into a kernel panic.

I have tried all recommended boot flags and BIOS configurations and have made absolutely no new progress.


Now I will say the only difference In my situation is that i used MSI live update to patch my bios to 1.9. Do I HAVE to use a PMPatch version of the BIOS? I tried flashing a 1.7 version posted earlier in the the thread but the BIOS just freezes up.

BTW my build is as follows.

MSI g45 Z87
Intel i5 4670K
8gb Team vulcan ram
Radeon R9 280X

Will this work for a Z87-G41 PC Mate? Also, I'm fairly new to this Hackintosh stuff. What do I do with this zip file after extracting? I downloaded the BIOS update from MSI. Currently I have a AFUDE238 file and this E7850IMS.180 file type in that folder. What do I do with your files or how do I apply this patch?
