Mountain Lion: MultiBeast - No Audio/Solutions and Problem Reporting

One thing I forgot to mention previously, though is that the system only recognises the devices if I boot using '-f'.
That matters. Solve that problem and then verify audio. Boot problems are off topic.

Thanks for your support thus far. I've fixed the issue with the kernel cache (had to add 'arch=X86_64'), but it did not fix the audio. The problem still persists. The IOReg was again saved while playing a song in iTunes and the Internal Speakers were selected.

Do you mean the kernel log?

#Edit1:
Sorry, I found the app. A screenshot has been added as an attachment.

I don't know what is wrong. What version worked previously?

It was quite a while ago, so I don't remember the specifics. I used to run Leopard and Snow Leopard, and it worked on both of them.

1. I have a successful first install and used Multibeast to install audio drivers ALC898. I have no audio. When I go to system preferences there are no sound inputs.

2.

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB Intel Mainboard - LGA 1155
  • Processor: Intel CPU Core i7 3770K - LGA 1155
  • OS: ML 10.8.2
  • Graphics: EVGA nVidia GTX 660 Ti 2GB

3. Followed the guide for 10.8 install found here.

Used MULTIBEAST (see screenshot)

Try Interim Realtek Ivy Bridge Lion AppleHDA, edit dsdt/HDEF/layout-id to 0x77, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00.

Still no luck. I tried the kext from the thread, but it's for v100301, and I have v100201, so it didn't work. I then used the AppleHDA from MultiBeast 4.6.1, which gave me audio outputs, but no sound. (IOReg: 10.7.4) I also tried doing the AppleHDA Rollback method, which gave me the same result, audio outputs, no sound. (IOReg: Rollback)

All IORegs were saved while a song was playing in iTunes and the Internal Speakers were selected. I also edited the DSDT to 0x77, 0x03, I also tried 0x1F, 0x01, to no effect.
