I am a VFX Artist and I would love to have a 100% working Hackintosh and use everything 100% of my hardware.

So I was wondering if I could tune some stuff but I don't know if it helps.
For example:

In Multibeast:

-Costomization: -> System Definition ->( now its 3,1 but can I set it to 5,1 ?)
- SSDT -> Core I7 (Is this going to improve something or just gonna cause errors?)

My specs:

MoBo: Z68XP-UD3
Graphics: Radeon HD 6870 (1GB)
RAM: 16GB corsair Vengeance

Thanks for your comments!

you only need a ssdt when you are running lion.
the mac pro 5,1 identifier is not recommended, because you have to remove a kext from system>library>extensions
if you want to try the 5,1 smbios.plist, than you have to remove this kext by just deleting it from the extensions folder: AppleTyMCEDriver.kext
after removing the kext, you have to open multibeast, select the 5,1 smbios.plist and check the repair permissions option.
then klick install, restart and you are done.

Will this improve something?

Thanks anyway!

It works!

Went from System Definition 3,1 to 5,1 using your instructions. Thanks!

Ok, now goto System Perfernces, click Energy Saver. Does it work? if it does, I guess your good. Mine didn't, so I went back to 3,1.

So far everything works as before, including Energy Saver.

In my opinion, if you set your hack to MacPro 5.1, you will only have 2 P-States, even with SSDT from Multibeast.
