for audio, select (from multibeast) applehda rollback, alc8xx kext, and as you are using easybeast, select the alc889 non-dsdt patch.


for ethernet use the latest lnx2mac driver from here

EDIT: I do not have access to an Ethernet-based internet. I must use wifi. Can I buy the Air Port thing and will the same sort of thing work? That is, I follow the same process you outlined for me above using multibeast/lnx2mac .pkg


UPDATE: THE SOUND WORKS!! WOOHOO!!!

Now let's just my internet and video card working and I'm all set!
