There are multiple configuration options when you buy this laptop. My notes are for this:

Intel i3-M370 (1st Generation, Arrandele, Intel HD Graphics)
NVidia GT420M
1366x768x32 display size

UniBeast 4.0 on ADATA UV128 8GB USB3.0 stick
- Use Mavericks Installer
- Enable laptop
- Disable legacy USB (I first enabled this, this results in "waiting for root device")

Grpahics:
To enable Intel IGPU, I used this download. "Intel HD Graphics QECI 10.9.4"
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286092-guide-1st-generation-intel-hd-graphics-qeci/

I used the Single Link 4-port Alternative FB.
Required no DSDT changes. I could not disable the Nvidia GT420M. It is not used, but probably uses power.

Sound:

"L701X_Files_v3.zip"
http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/247741-guide-dell-l701x-xps-17-late-2010/

I used MaciASL to add the "HDEF" section from the DTST to my system extracted DTST.

WiFi:

I bought the Dell (DW?) 1515 mPCIe card, as the built-in does not work. The 1515 card is know to work out of the box.
I have used it on an earlier test build.

Power savings:
- To do.
- I used pmset to hibernate upon sleep.
See the same thread on l701x above (as referred by the Sound section).
"NOTE: If you want DeepSleep, open Terminal and type: sudo pmset -a hibernate mode 5".

I could not enable UseKernelCache, because the Realtek NIC driver does not support the new cache (??).
If I enable it, the cache works, but the driver does not.
