Mavericks: No Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA [Guide]

Status
Not open for further replies.
Not installed. Off topic. AppleHDA only, no Voodoo support.

I don't fully understand. Are you saying that the issue is not with ALC AppleHDA but rather with VoodooHDA? Should I create a separate thread just for this case?

Now that I understand the difference between VoodooHDA and ALC AppleHDA, here's an update on the problem.

Digital Audio Out cuts in and out and stops after a few seconds. Issue is across all applications (iTunes, Safari, Preview, etc)
AppleHDA.kext is installed and configured properly. There is no AppleHDA.kext fix. Alternatives are HDMI or USB audio.

Hello,

I installed Yosemite on my system: Asus P8P67 deluxe (Codec Audio 889), i7 2600K, 8GB DDR3, GFX 560Ti.
There is problem with sound. On the audio tab (General Settings) there is any output devices. No sound at all.

1. OS X Yosemite
2. Procedure used:

Clover Patched AppleHDA - Installation
1. Clover Realtek ALC AppleHDA.kext (patch in place)
1. https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC/blob/master/audio_cloverALC-100.command.zip
2. Download (View Raw)
3. Double click Downloads/audio_cloverALC-100.command
4. Password?
5. Verify Codec? (885, 887, 888, 889, 892, 898, 1150 only)
6. Legacy_v100202 - y/n? (887, 888 only)
2. Restart
3. Verify ALC onboard audio
1. System Preferences/Sound/Output/select audio device

Here files to analyze:
