Try this DSDT and edit the AppleHDA like this:

@nvflash: Your 560Ti.aml dsdt will not make Nvidia HDMI audio, the edits are wrong. The kext edits you posted are from my Lion HDMI audio guide and do not apply to Mavericks. For those reasons, your posts have been deleted.

Suggestions,
1. use the tools linked in Post #1; your edits are wrong.

either i am doing something wrong which is most likely, or I'm missing something.

Trash anything suggested previously.

Configure MaciASL for the repo

2 patches:
1. AMI-UEFI-Clean_Complie-6series
2. AMI-UEFI-AMD-Nvidia-A3

I applied the updates to the AppleHDAController, and now it is working perfectly! I have HDMI Audio and onboard now. Thank you so much for all your help!

I am honestly very lost and have tried to understand how the guide functions but always get myself confused.

I have Z77 motherboard, and Intel Core i7 3770k and an AMD R9 280x, and I'm just trying to figure out how to get HDMI audio working from the AMD card.

I'm so sorry for being a bother, but if anyone can lend a hand I would greatly appreciate it.
