I am currently running three monitors on my Haswell based Hackintosh using the integrated GPU (2 @ 1600x1200, 1 @1920x1200). I'm planning to upgrade at the end of the year to three 4k monitors, so the question of the day is whether or not MacOS can recognize two separate GPUs (one integrated and one via PCI-express x16). My integrated GPU can run up to 4k @ 60hz through DisplayPort, so technically I would only need to get a graphics card with two DisplayPort 1.2A ports. If however I won't be able to utilize the integrated GPU I will need to invest in a larger graphics card with three DisplayPort 1.2A ports. Any advice is appreciated.
