macOS Monterey is Now Available From the Mac App Store

Yea you could be right, at this stage we shouldn't be too surprise at the different quirks as I feel Monterey has a rushed feel about it.

I too updated to the Monterey RC1 (21A558) which Software Update then notified me of the RC2 update (21A559) earlier last weekend before 12.0.1 was released. Software Update did not then offer me the 12.0.1 release this morning.

The hard part was figuring out the update to OC 0.7.4, but once I did that, smooth update to Monterey. Took about 45 minutes and a handful of restarts... not sure how many, as I had walked away for a good half hour. But all appears to be working!

Was a pretty easy update on my X1 Extreme. Updated from Big Sur using the MacBookPro15,1 SMIOS. Still haven't fixed Bluetooth, hopefully will be fixed once I've updated BlueToolFixup to the latest commit.

This was the simplest update since I started with the Hackintosh (opencore 0.7.4)

But unfortunately this is also the latest update
In about a week or two the 16 inch MacBook Pro I ordered will arrive
M1 Max 10C CPU 32C GPU, 64GB, 4TB SSD, Space Gray

And this computer will become a Windows 11 machine

My apologies for what might be a dumb question but I saw on the previous page: First version of macOS without NVIDIA graphics support

If I have an NVIDIA card, it won't work? (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2 GB)

NVIDIA card will not work anymore (as of beta 6, I think). I've been using GTX 760 and just found out yesterday.
So I've gone to ebay and overpaid for a used radeon gpu (a risky move, I know).

There is already a patch that install previous Nvidia Driver. Google search ---> monterey nvidia kepler patcher or https://github.com/chris1111/Geforce-Kepler-patcher

35-minute new installation of macOS 12.0.1 (21A559) for my H61 | 2500K | HD 7850 build with OpenCore 0.7.4

I am not sure about the reason why booting is much faster now.
