    Today Apple released macOS High Sierra 10.13.1, the first major point update to macOS High Sierra. Update any supported system using the built-in Software Update functionality through the Mac App Store, or by using the standalone installer available from Apple.com.

    Be sure to back up any important data, and if possible clone your hard drive before applying the update. If you have any issues post-update, press spacebar, and boot using Safe Mode.

    What we know about 10.13.1 so far...
    • macOS Build 17B48
    • Kernel updated to Darwin 17.2.0
    • Updated apfs.efi
    • Updated Intel, NVIDIA, and AMD graphics drivers
    • This update will replace your audio drivers. If you enabled Realtek onboard audio using MultiBeast or the cloverALC script, no changes will be necessary.
    • Install macOS High Sierra App has been updated - If you downloaded macOS High Sierra from the App Store prior to today, and you want to have the latest version on your backup installer USB, simply log into the Mac App Store and click Download. The updated Install macOS High Sierra App can be found in the Applications folder.
    Testing is now underway- this post will be updated. Good luck, and let us know how it goes! Report your results here.

    Pre Update Notes:
    - This update may break some of your High Sierra functions, like audio and the nVidia Web drivers. Make sure you backup first.:thumbup:

    - If you're using nVidia drivers for your GeForce GTX 750, 750Ti, 960, 970, 980, 980 Ti, Titans 'Maxwell' and GTX 10x0 "Pascal" graphics cards, you'll need to install the nVidia 10.13.1 Web driver(s) after the 10.13.1 update; when the drivers are updated, the link available in Post #1.

    - For those who are using the MacPro6,1, iMac15,1, or iMac17,1 system definitions may need to re-apply the black screen fix. You probably will need to await the updates to the Lilu.kext, WhateverGreen.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext.

    - NOTE: This update is installed differently than point updates of the past. After reboot, on Clover Boot screen you may have to choose the Install macOS from YOUR-DRIVE-NAME in order to complete the update.
    Example:
    Install macOS from Macintosh HDD

    - The update does not convert a HFS+ formatted drive to an APFS.

    Here's the step by step way to update for those who aren't using the Nvidia Maxwell/Pascal graphics cards. For Nvidia Maxwell card users, see below
    :ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
    :ch: Download the Software Update or the Update from Apple's Mac App Store and run it to update to 10.13.1 - the updater will reboot upon completion;
    :ch: At the Clover boot screen, choose "Install macOS from (your drive name)";
    :ch: Upon rebooting into Sierra, you can:
    :ch: Check to see if your audio is working. If not, use toleda's CloverALC130 script & your audio should be OK,
    :ch: (Optional) Update to the latest version of Clover,
    :ch: (Optional) Check to see if your TRIM setting has survived through the update (About this Mac > System > System Report > SATA/SATA Express) - if not, use the "trimforce" Terminal command (1); if you've used the "trimforce" command in 10.13.0, then it should "survive" the update, but check to make sure; and
    :ch:Re-boot.

    For Nvidia Maxwell/Pascal graphic cards users (see 2nd and 3rd note above), you'll need to do the following once the Nvidia web driver is released for 10.13.1:
    :ch: Backup your current installation using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper;
    :ch: Download the Software Update or use the Mac App Store.
    :ch: Download the latest Nvidia web driver for 10.13.1 (when available).
    :ch: Run the Sierra 10.13.1 Mac App Store Update - the updater will reboot upon completion;
    :ch: At the Clover boot screen, choose "Install macOS from (your drive name)";
    :ch: Upon rebooting, run the Nvidia web driver pkg and reboot when its completed it's installation;
    :ch: Check to see if your audio is working. If not, use toleda's CloverALC130 script & your audio should be OK.

    Please post help requests in the High Sierra Desktop Support Forum section (not in this thread).

    1 Use the new Terminal trimforce command in the following manner:
    Code (Text):
    sudo trimforce enable

    Umm, @Stork? I think you missed updating this part. And maybe have the Pascal versions in there, also?

    VERY important, BEFORE you install this update, if you are using nvidia web drivers, either uninstall them, or update to the 121 version that fixes the kernel panic on software update bug. else you'll get panic loop issue all over again. either solution is viable. uninstall, or get the 121 driver for 10.13.0 prior to updating that fixes panic.

    EDIT
    121 I'm dumb

    Just did the update from App Store. It installed without any problems on my NVMe SM961 drive. Sound (Apple ALC + Lilu), Graphics GTX770 everything still works. it just booted into the installer rebooted and going through as on a real Mac.
