Hi,

I encounter a weird problem from time to time with my hackintosh:
I'm working and everything seems to be going fine, all of a sudden the Mac feels sluggish, sound will playback but sounding like somebody is button-bashing the play/pause button, the computer works but not in a very nice fashion. There is no recovery from it except a reboot, after a reboot everything is fine and the machine runs again like a charm. It does noticed it has an issue because it generates a report like the one listed below.

The part I found weird about it, is that it (for me) seems to happen completely random. There is no guessing when this will happen, or a program that seem to trigger it, mem or cpu use also don't seem to matter. I guess it is NVMe related, however I'm not sure about this. I thought it might be related to the TRIM, however this is enabled.

Does anybody had this problem as well or knows a solution?

Thanks, I will make sure the CPU freq is set in the clover config. However currently my system is not overclocked. I will do this tomorrow and let you know if it worked :)

Is this after wake from sleep? Try setting your System Preferences/Energy Saver to one hour or never.
The error code says sleep.

The computer is already on never sleep, that is why I'm also a bit puzzled why it tried to 'sleep' the nvme drive.

The problem isn't solved by setting the freq of the cpu in clover :(

Have you tried emuvariabledriver in clover/Drivers64efi folder?

What make and model NVME? And which OS version?

I'm running Mac OS 10.13.6 with an intel 600P 500GB drive.

Haven't tried the emuvariabledriver, I didn't put any drivers/emulaters for the nvme drive as I had read that the NVME drivers are supported natively by 10.13 (?).

If I search for the emuvariabledriver I see that it is mostly used to emulate NV-ram for the GPU, could you explain what this driver will do exactly, so I can have a better understanding of it?

It is probably the intel drive. They are known to start off ok but after time they slow down because they can’t use trim function. Try disk utility and see if you can repair it manually.

Thanks I will try the repair, and maybe swap the drive for a samsung 970 evo (if the issue continues). The Samsung drivers are on the buyers list so I assume those won't have any issue?

Yes I have a 970 evo it works great. Apple defaults trim function in Mojave when a SDD is detected so they may be an issue with the intel drive. It wierd I’ve used al kinda of different SSD brands without issues but it seems intel has some problems. I guess it would make a good windows dual boot drive?
