Does Multibeast use any enabler kext or does it inject video by the bootloader?
(can you see what kext's are you using? does your com.apple.boot.plist has GraphicsEnable line?)
Just GraphicsEnabler=Yes...
My kexts are fakesmc, Realtek, JMicronATA & xeSATA, 889aHDA.

the GPU specs can be taken from GPU-Z (windows) or from manufacturer site
(or from your video card rom if you dumped it)
Hmmm... No windows for me...
My GPU specs are in http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/products/pro ... id=3104#sp

After updating to 10.6.4 I still have a usb sleep problem. I have a modded macbook pro IR receiver plugged into a usb port.
Nice, wanted to get my hands on stuff like this...

When I use it to wake from sleep it becomes inactive until replugged. I'm using the latest bios with the latest dsdt, i've got fakesmc, jmicronxata and jmicronxsata in my /e/e.

Basically, it acts exactly the same as it did under 10.6.3... Anyone have any Ideas?
May be you could try this: viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2851

Hey everybody,

I made some progress; first time I've gotten passed 10.6.2.

Video stuck at 1024 x 768. Card is coded in DSDT. No Graphics Enabler in plist.
My MSI GTS250 1GB Frozr shows up as:
Unknown nVidia card
1024 MB
nVidia GeForce GTS 250 OpenGL Engine

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Herb

Help!

Updated to 10.6.4 - got KP due to Sleepenabler.kext. Had to boot in windows and remove, and reboot/rebuild the kexts. It works fine now - EXCEPT - I have lost the capability to bring my pc back to life after sleep! Only display goes to sleep properly and awakens.

Anyone had this issue? And solution?

oh btw, cinebench scores are really low ~4 now!!! Going to try few things over the weekend, hopefully this can go back to normal... used to be around ~20!

There is a newly released sleepenabler 10.6.4 kext at insanely mac that works for me.

Got my audio fixed for the GA P55A-UD4P. I have edited the DSDT with the following entry for the audio.

Device (HDEF)
{
Name (_ADR, 0x001B0000)
Method (_PRW, 0, NotSerialized)
{
Return (Package (0x02)
{
0x0D,
0x05
})
}

Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)
{
Store (Package (0x08)
{
"codec-id",
Buffer (0x04)
{
0x89, 0x08, 0xEC, 0x10
},

"layout-id",
Buffer (0x04)
{
0x79, 0x03, 0x00, 0x00
},

"device-type",
Buffer (0x0F)
{
"Realtek ALC889"
},

"PinConfigurations",
Buffer (0x28)
{
/* 0000 */ 0x10, 0x90, 0xA0, 0x90, 0x20, 0x90, 0xA1, 0x02,
/* 0008 */ 0x80, 0x30, 0x81, 0x01, 0x90, 0x40, 0x21, 0x02,
/* 0010 */ 0x30, 0x40, 0x11, 0x01, 0x40, 0x10, 0x01, 0x01,
/* 0018 */ 0x50, 0x60, 0x01, 0x01, 0x60, 0x20, 0x01, 0x01,
/* 0020 */ 0x70, 0x61, 0x4B, 0x01, 0xA0, 0x01, 0xCB, 0x01
}
}, Local0)
DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0))
Return (Local0)
}
}

Then used mulitbeast 2.0 to install the audio kext 10.6.2 Rollback along with the user DSDT.

Everything is working great now.

GA P55A-UD4P, i7 860, 4GB Corsair, WD 1TB, Geforce 9800 GT 1GB, 24" BenQ 1080p.
