I gave up on trying to make it work (although it's still installed in my system for use with prior versions of OS X and Windows) and bought this USB DAC which is compatible with all versions of OS X, no additional drivers/kexts needed.
Oh, cool, thanks for the advice! I just have this Behringer one, laying somewhere in the old hardware boxes. Let's try to replace it then. Unfortunately, its converters seem to be worse, than the ones in Delta, but... whatever.

BTW, the problem is with its driver and clover:

I ended up with upgrading the mobo and now just using a built-in ALC 1150 for sound. It may be better than Behringer USB interface actually, since it supports 24 bits.

Upgrading the mobo isn't an option for me. I've already upgraded to Z97 from that 2 yrs ago but still kept the X58 system which is in my office while the Z97 system is a HTPC in my living room.

Hello
I enhanced envy24_monitoring2 version by this commit (2011 Aug 26 !!!) and
It's working with sleep.

El Capitan 10.11.6 with Clover.
Boot Flags - slide=0, rootless=0
Kext in Library/Extensions. Don't forget repairing permissions

Using the first version now with an old Hackintosh Q6600. Second version, the output is too low.

Thanks to the OP.

escope,

Are you able to re-compile but with the first (louder) version?

Second version: output is too low but your sleep/wake fix works...

Thanks,

I can't find sources or right values for louder version, sorry.
I do not understand it well. If you help me will be awesome.

It's something in the "turn on monitoring" section in "misc.cpp", I guess.

Hi,

This is a new version with input and DMA levels lower in the mixer. Let me know if this is better.

System locks up after sleep: well this happens sometimes, I do not know why.

Here is also the Xcode project and the envy24 doc. Let me know if you can improve things
