I knew my system was dated, but I was expecting better scores. :thumbdown:

Scene = Sala
GPU+CPU = 632 :oops:
GPU Only = 320 :oops:
CPU Only = 305 :oops:

System Specs:
CPU = Intel I7 950 @ 3.07 Ghz
GPU = GTX 650 Ti
RAM = 8GB
MOBO = ASUS GENE III

Kinda bizarre that OpenCL would produce such low scores, especially when I can play a game, such as Eve Online, at 1080P @ 60 FPS full screen and @ ~74 FPS windowed mode.

A couple of days ago, I have gotten my hands on a Sapphire R9 280X Toxic. It works great and I got a score of 2413 in Luxmark. However, I saw someone earlier in this thread with the same card who got more points, because his card was recognised as a D700. Does anyone know which kext is used for the D700?

Just finished a new build with 3x Gigabyte 280x.... Luxmark is great but one of the GPU Dies is getting way to hot.... 90c. It's 15c hotter then the next hottest card. :(

Update- I installed 10.9.5 and the score went up but one card is still running way too hot. I tried swapping the cards around but it boils down to the fact that the non-reference coolers just aren't designed to be sandwiched together. By taking out the middle card my bottom card now runs at 57c max and top card 70c max and that's with 5 AF140 case fans running at only 7v. Score is still 4800 with 2 cards!

It was back in March when I first posted in this thread asking about the 280x... Took me 6 months to finally get the cards but looks like we're good!

I'm running a GA-X79-UP4 and a 4930k. To get the 280x cards working, initially I needed to boot with PCIRootUID=1 using unibeast. I've since added it to the Boot.plist but once up and running with multibeast I had to download and install the newest Chameleon (4.3.3) in order to boot properly. Otherwise I would get a bunch of junk text on a black screen and was forced to boot using unibeast. I now boot straight to the desktop without issue.

I originally had a Gigabyte 760... great for gaming but not so much for OpenCL.

Yea, the 280x cards are great for both FCPX and gaming. I stuck AIO water coolers on all three of mine and now they're performing perfectly. To top it off they're silent now too. The reason my trifire score was so low before was due to gpu throttling since the middle card was overheating. I have them in a Fractal XL R2 at the moment but will post pics once I switch everything into my Mac Pro mod.
