can you confirm that there is no way to get two dvi ports to work simultaneously on 6870?
one of my monitors supports HDMI but its a 1920x1200 monitor, not native 1080p, so I don't want to use HDMI on it
what other options do I have if any?

Hi people,
I'm a noob and I just installed the ATI knext from MultiBeast cause I've an ATI Radeon 3400 and I had to force the resolution to 1280x1024 by editing the plist file but when I watch downloaded videos or on youtube they lag and the refresh rate doesn't look so high at all... everything looks a bit blurry... How could I fix that?!

My XFX ATi 5770 info: Part# HD-577A-ZNFC Model# HD-577A-ZN

Today I flased my video card with XFX older bios Rom from techpowerup.com. Now it works with ATI driver 1.6.34.13. But only work with two DVI port.

Without ATI driver 1.6.34.13 update. I have 3 monitor working 2 DVI + 1 DP

Make sure you save your original rom bios. Let me know

Thanks cochon for the reply. I have backed away from doing the bios flashed route and decided to return the XFX card (it is fairly painless with Amazon) and get the Gigabyte 'batmobile' locally.

I appreciate having an opportunity to ask questions in this forum.

I need some help if someone would please let me know what to do.

I installed OSX on XPS 9000 yesterday and successfully booted into OSX. After installing 10.6.7 + MBeast, I have been trying to install graphics driver until today without any success. I tried to install audio driver as well, but failed the same.

As for the graphic driver, I followed the instructions written by noshy on this thread, but nothing changes after various tries of different ways, ie, editing boot.plist, etc.

Please let me know if I missed anything or need change something.

I've got both graphic and sound(somewhat) working.
However, I have to unplug and replug the monitor cable to the graphic card after reboot to desktop. Otherwise, the video card wont send any signal to monitor.

Sorry about the noob question, but in MultiBeast 3.7.3, and under graphics there are only the kexts for the 4XXXX graphics cards. When notshy says to select ATI kexts under Graphics, should I select the 4XXXX for the combo 10.6.7?
