Re: Lnx2Mac's Realtek Ethernet Driver - Public Beta Available!

Installed on GA P55 USB3 motherboard works great
one question
I use menu meters to get a readout of the current upload and download speeds and activity.
Stays completely blank shows no activity over the Internet/LAN at all

Re: Lnx2Mac's Realtek Ethernet Driver - Public Beta Available!

I did removed those kexts.

My internet is working right after installation. Then I installed the combo update and multibeast and the official realtek kext. The problem only surfaced after I installed some updates such as AirPort Base Update 5.5.1, iLife Support 9.0.4, Java Update 3, Security Update 2010-005 and 006 and Safari using the Apple Software Update.

It is after all those problem surfaced that I tried your kexts.

I'm currently booting using iBoot and everything seems to be working fine.

Are you monitoring the correct interface?

Hi all :)
thought i would share my findings here ...
works great on my Gigabyte GA-X58 UD5, and am posting from my shiny new mac now :)

Many thanks to everyone that made this driver possible, top work guys !

Re: Lnx2Mac's Realtek Ethernet Driver - Public Beta Available!

I have followed the instructions for the installing the kext, but when I go to setup my wireless, I don't even have the option for Airport. Any thoughts? I am using a Linksys card with an Atheros chipset.

This driver is for Realtek... NOT Atheros...

Re: Lnx2Mac's Realtek Ethernet Driver - Public Beta Available!

Hello!

so finally i have a steady working sl osx86 system! only thing that acts weird still is the sleep portion but it dont really bother me.

what i did was:

re-ran the 10.6.4 combo update to get me a fresh copy of IOnetwokring
ran multibeast again and applies the 10.6.2 rollback audio
installed the LnxMac kext with Kextbeast
reboot
voila! working internets and no freezes yet!

Re: Lnx2Mac's Realtek Ethernet Driver - Public Beta Available!

Got the kext installed and it works great with x58 ud3r. Sleep works, wake up from sleep, 64 bit is running as far as I can tell it's got no issues

Thanks for all the work lnx,
Justin

Re: Lnx2Mac's Realtek Ethernet Driver - Public Beta Available!

So I just installed this on my hack because i was getting random kernel panics when i would leave the computer idle (no sleep enabled) and i think it was LAN related to the realtek driver (i had 2.0.4 installed not 2.0.5). So far so good. But one question. Before i installed, i had back to my mac installed and working flawlessly. After i installed this driver version, it no longer works. I stopped and restarted back to my mac on both machines (the hack and my laptop from which i am trying to connect). No luck.

Any known issues with this that you know of?

Much thanks and keep up good work.

Yes put it auto or manually choose it and it is not greyed out but shows no activity
