HD4000 is supported by 10.7.5 through latest macOS (currently 10.14.2).

so, I guess that a question on the compatibility of my laptop is not adequate...!
In any case, most of my colleagues say. if you want a Mac, buy a Mac. And I did! But my video editing is done on a laptop (bc I've been given a Win...)!
Here is what I have (plus a billion problem I found working in a Win environment:
Dell Precision 7530, i9, 64GB Ram, Nvidia Quadro 3200, 2TB SSD, etc.
