hi! is this hackable? and if so what drivers should i use for the 780 ti and what boot commands should i use? thanks!
:)

  • The motherboard will require F9 UEFI BIOS to recognise the CPU.
  • ADATA SSD. Genuinely do not know - there would appear to be some specific technical requirements for these to work with OSX. Use one that is recommended or do further research.
  • GTX 780Ti - There have been issues using these since November 2013 with OSX. Suggest using 'search' and Post Installation/Graphics for relevant threads.
  • PSU - 1kw of power for a pc? Suggest an online PSU calculator. A 750w option is probably more than enough with plenty of headroom included. 1kw will work but will not be as power efficient.

CPU is not compatible with the motherboard. RAM is a bit limited - I guess this is to get you up and running before going for either a 16GB or 32GB kit shortly afterwards. Pick an Intel i7 model from this list for Z97 boards:

You will actually get better results with this type of hardware using a non budget Z97 board. Use an online PSU calculator for the PSU size.

i will get 32 gig of memory to Christmas since i dont have the money yet ;) but i want a 6 core processor in my built so thats why i want a 4930k in it.... isn't the 4930k hackable? cus ive seen some people use it :)

The processor is a socket 2011 processor - so you will need to pair it up with matching socket 2011 motherboard. See the CustoMac Pro Socket 2011 build items:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/446-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-october-2014.html#socket_2011

Pick a CPU, motherboard & RAM from this list. Add a suitable CPU cooler.

There is also the links for the latest socket 2011-3 motherboards and Haswell-E processors if you are interested. These builds also use the faster DDR4 RAM specification.
