The CPU that you list (LGA2011) is not suitable with the motherboard (LGA1055)They are both from the Sandy Bridge family, but suffer from not being compatible.

See here for further details/confirmation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandy_Bridge The 2700K, 2600K or 2600 models would be fine with this motherboard.
If you are using an i5/i7 processor then you will probably want to use at least 8GB of RAM.
