Hello, i have just recently bought a new custom build pc, (not the idea that is was becoming a hackingtosh) but here is my parts.

Motherboard = Asus h87i-Plus
GPU = EVGA GTX 760
CPU = Intel i5-4670 (Haswell)
HardDrive = Samsung EVO 120gb

i made the USB bootable key (Mavericks) i followed tonymacs guide. http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

When i boot, the apple logo flashes for a second, and then the computer reboots.
i have tried the recommended bootflags (such as -v -x -GraphicsEnabler=No/Yes.

Then i read that the Asus h87i (motherboard) cant boot from other then mbr.

Should i replace the motherboard (asus h87i-Plus) to a recommended mini itx?
Such as GA-Z87N or GA-H87N???
Will the hacking then work? is all the other stuff compatible?

Please help me out, im kind of new to hackingtosh.

i have messed around with it, as i was trying to install it on my acer s3, but didnt turn out that well though. so i wanted to make a workhorse of a machine (inside budget)

Hi Nicolas,

There is some acknowledged problems with Asus boards booting OS X. It is a problem we are aware of. A solution is being sought, but it will not be available that quickly. If you have the option to change the motherboard, then I would do so. It will make your life a great deal easier to get OS X running on PC hardware if you use the latest buyers guide. :thumbup:
