Hi im putting together a desktop and i believe these components will work for mac osx Mavericks but im unsure . will i have a problem if i try to load Mavericks?

Here is the list of what i plan to use.

You link does not appear to work. I suggest listing make and model on this page rather than linking to an external site as it is easier to check by cutting ands pasting if the text is on the page.

If motherboard, CPU, GPU are in the buyers guide then it will probably work. Power supplies are best being Haswell certified by the manufacturer. Ram can vary - best if on the motherboard manufacturers confirmed working list, otherwise look for suitable spec RAM from a reputable company.

EDIT: Link appears to be working now.

Looks good to me; however, I would recommend an 8 series motherboard from gigabyte over a 9 series because they are easier to work with as far as installing Mountain Lion.

Here is my recommendation for a motherboard: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Intel-6Gbps-Motherboards-GA-H87M-D3H/dp/B00DGHDQVO/

You cannot over clock your CPU with it, but your CPU does not support over clocking anyway. With the money you saved on the motherboard, you can get this WiFi card:

This is the WiFi card that I have in my build and it works great!

Good luck on your build! Happy hacking!

thanks for the recommendation. i will check out the board :)

yes, 95% of the components are from the mini deluxe build from the buyers guide.
i just wanted to check if the alternate case would cause a problem. Since i haven't done a hackintosh or built a computer in years.

thanks for the information.

Motherboard, CPU, RAM, HDD should all be fine. The Asus DVD drive is known to prevent sleep otherwise it functions as you would expect.

The 97 series motherboards work much better now than they did even a few months ago. See Storks Hector build:

The case will suit the motherboard fine - the one thing that might be a little tight is the PSU in such a small case. Going with the modular option as you have chosen will make life a little more straight forward.
