Intel NUC DC3217IYE & OS X 10.8.2 SUCCESS

I also had the problem in waking-from-sleep (no display comes back from S3 sleep),
and after several install trials, I think I have fixed it.

I extracted the vanilla DSDT from my DC3217IYE (BIOS ver. 32) and applied Dreramwatcher's patch:

I have attached the final DSDT.aml in the following post.

Then I installed OS X 10.8.2 by UniBeast, and ran MultiBeast 5.2.1 in the following settings:
- UserDSDT or DSDT-Free Installation
- 10.8.1+ TRIM Patch
- Intel - hnak's AppleIntelE1000e
- Patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement OS X 10.8.x
- System Definitions > Mac mini > Mac mini 5,1

All the BIOS settings are as default except for the video memory size that is set to 128MB.

FIXED IT!!! In order to enable HD 4000 graphics and get full everything for the TB model, you must inject this EFI string into your org.chameleon.boot.plist.

<string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000003006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string>

This will allow OSX to fully recognize the GPU and use all of its memory.

EDIT: Dont forget to set your SMBios to something other than Mac Mini 5,1. I'm using the SMBios for Mac Mini 6,2 that you can get from chameleon wizard.

do i need to add

<key>device-properties</key

before the efi string?

also, should i change graphics enabler YES to NO?

as for system definition: i've been using mac mini 5,1 for a week, seemingly without problems, but maybe i don't know what i'm missing. what symptoms did you have with 5,1 that had you switch to 6,1? or--does it need to be 6,1 in order for the efi string injection to succeed?

thanks

ken

macmini6,1 and 6.2 are not supported in 10.8.2 meaning no SpeedStep. efi injection disables all other Boot.plist setting. Do not use efi injection if you are using a dsdt edited for HDMI audio; the HDMI audio edits enable HD4000 graphics.

toleda--thanks for the advice.

Ok so i was wrong about the Mac Mini 5,1 definition. I thought speed stepping was working under 6,2 but i guess not. Anyway, if i cant use EFI string injection (which btw is making everything run smooth as butter) How can i make the necessary DSDT edits to add in the same information AND get HDMI audio working? Below is a pic of my system ( before i switched to 5,1... but that doesnt really matter). Everything is working flawlessly except HDMI audio.
