Need help installing on Intel DH77DF Motherboard

I am a first timer, and I have this Intel DH77DF motherboard and the i5 3570K CPU. I cannot figure out how to get to the Unibeast install screen. I've tried all the tips I've been able to find online. Is there someplace where I can find all of the BIOS settings I need to set on this motherboard to get to the install screen?

Well, 2 months using this motherboard and for the most part everything works well. After updating to 10.8.2 the system would not go past the grey apple screen....tried the Fake.SMC kext trick that everybody else was doing but that didn't work. Had to disable VT-d in the BIOS to get the system running again (sucks for my VM's though since they won't be able to use that feature).

I also updated the to the latest bios (version 0100) and it finally looks like a true UEFI bios....super slick GUI and much more easier to navigate.

And there's the 2 things that do not work for me: sleep and speedstep. Sleep is a known issue, and when it comes to speedstep all I get is 16 and 37 but I've seen folks getting this resolved so I'll look into it, but if we had a patched BIOS I'm pretty sure this board would be almost perfect. One of the reasons I like this board so much is the amount of features you get for the great price and it works great OOB with very little modifying.

Did anyone tried to make DSDT with latest BIOS for MountainLion?
PS. My first post :) Hi guys!

Hi,

Regarding the VT-d issues, see this info:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/209-os-x-10-8-2-update/comments6.html#comments

Specifically, the bit from micr0shaft.

This solution worked for me. I just got the AppleACPIPlatform.kext from my 10.8.0 backup and used KextBeast to load it over the 10.8.2 version. Until I did this, I had the spinning wheel and needed to turn off VT-d. Now VT-d is back on and all is well. Whether Fusion 5 benefits from VT-d is another matter.... but it makes me happy to know it is available !

Regarding the rest of my system, I'm using EasyBeast + ALC898, hnaks IntelNIC kext (no DSDT), and the FakeSMC stuff. I found that using
AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement caused Kernel Panics at boot and so rebuilt without it (-x wouldn't even work).

Now most stuff is working. Sleep doesn't work (I wish it would !). HD audio over DP or HDMI not working, but I don't need it and so haven't explored this area. USB3 ports ARE working, but I've only got the Keyboard + Mouse plugged into them. They don't seem to work with USB2 Memory Sticks. But at least they are doing something. eSata port works. Dual displays (DP and HDMI or DP and DVI) work. SpeedStep, I'm not sure. MSRDumper shows only 16 and 34 for my i7-3770, but I didn't run it for long. Haven't tested FireWire yet, but expect it will work.

Did using a Patched AppleIntelCPUPowemanagement.kext cause the Kernel Panics or the original one that came with 10.8.2? For SpeedStep (and maybe Sleep?) you need a Patched AppleIntelCPUPowemanagement.kext.

Did you set anything special in Bios for USB3 Ports? Did you Update the Bios or anything?

I was using the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement kext from the latest MultiBeast. After I install it and reboot, I get kernel panic which cannot be bypassed even with -x. Does the patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement require any other kext to function, and does it conflict with NullCPUPowermanagement ? Given that I did an EasyBeast installation, I'm pretty sure I've got that one in place too.

I did not touch anything in the BIOS, apart from enabling UEFI boot. I am using the v100 BIOS from Intel.

I figured out how to get speedstep works eventually, the only thing not working is sleep now. Hope someone will solve it soon to make this board perfect.
When used the patched Appleintelpowermanagemet for 10.8.x from the latest Multibeast, it caused kernel panic. Just run Multibeast 4.6.1 check the option patched Appleintelpowermanagement for 10.7.4 ivy bridge. Delete nullpowermanagement in S/L/E if there is one, repair permission. Reboot and that is it. MSRDumper shows my 3770s runs at 9 pstates at 16 17 18 19 20 28 29 31 35.

For me installing patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext for 10.7.4, Ivy Bridged, worked.

Attaching latest DSDT for the board. Audio works with a patched AppleHDA for ALC898, no HDAenabler needed, reboot and shutdown fixes applied, machine sleeps and stays asleep, but waking up is possible only by hitting the power button. USB 3.0 seems to work for my mouse, keyboard and iPhone connected through my Dell U2312HM's USB 2.0 hub.

This board together with i3-3225, Intel X25-M G2 SSD and 450 watt PSU pulls around 17 Watts in idle. Sweet!

Here's my org.chameleon.Boot.plist

Code:
    <key>Legacy Logo</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>Graphics Mode</key>
    <string>1920x1200</string>
    <key>Timeout</key>
    <string>1</string>
    <key>device-properties</key>
    <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002 010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c000000 4100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066 006f0072006d002d0069006400000008000000050062011400 00006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e62 6f6172642d31</string>

BIOS is 0103.

I have tried your DSDT and indeed sleep is working but not 100% on my computer.
The Logitech software for my MX Revolution mouse is deactivated after wake.
Any idea on how to solve that?

Maybe hardware isn't woken up properly. For me the keyboard and mouse are dead after wake, if I have Legacy USB disabled in BIOS. Does the mouse work when replugging it?

I went through the ACPI specification regarding power states and although I started to understand some stuff, I'd probably need a pci configuration address space layout of the motherboard to set up registers properly. But I don't have much time for this stuff unfortunately.

Anyway, attaching latest DSDT with some additional fixes.

Interesting thing happened with the recent tweaks - keyboard, mouse, Dell U2311HM's hub, iPhone 5 and FreeAgent GoFlex 1TB USB 2.0 drive all started working/charging when connected to USB 3.0 sockets both on the back, and to Prodigy's front panel that's connected to the internal USB 3.0 header. They used to be completely silent before. iPhone is being charged even if computer goes to sleep. Cool!

I don't have any 3.0 devices to test though.
