Installing MacOSX after many time. My components will work?

Hello everyone! I'm new here and i'm a little bit mess up with the process of installing MacOS X on a PC now, so i'm here to ask you guys for some advice.

First of all, i'll give u my components:

Mainboard Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P
CPU Intel Core i5 2320 @ 3.00GHz
Memory Kingston ValueRAM 4GBx1 1333MHz
Graphics (Gigabyte) NVidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB

If you need some extra information to advise me, just say it ^^

I wish you could say me if i can run MacOS X without problems or what should I do or pages i have to see to install correctly this OS.

Thank u all!

Hi Vers,

Your motherboard has been used in the past. Two things for you to check out. Confirm the board revision and the BIOS version currently installed.

If you are on standard Award BIOS then you will need a DSDT. If you have a UEFI type then you do not. I think that these boards worked better with the Award BIOS & a DSDT.

The Intel i5-2320 has Intel HD2000 graphics which is unsupported. The GTX 550Ti has been a real pain for many to get working properly. I don't know of anyone using it on Mavericks now so perhaps Lion or Mountain Lion might be easier.

Using the site search feature and your motherboard model number brings up a lot of information:

Thanks you very much for the support, I think I'll install Snow Leopard first! Also, I've got Award BIOS F6 from 10 December 2011.

The Chipset is Sandy Bridge Rev. 09 and the southbridge is Z68 Rev. B3.

Here is how to use Snow Leopard on your hardware (comment from Totenkopf4):

This is the original 'back in the day' 10.6 install guide:

EDIT - I do not think that the GTX 5** cards worked in OS X before 10.6.8, if you have a different card available that is a a Nvidia 2** or 4** series that you can try instead.

If that's the case, what system would you recomend me to install? Mountain Lion/Lion? Because I havent got a Nvidia 2** or 4** series.

Thanks for the link!

EDIT: Also, I don't have anyone with Mac to access, so I think I should install Snow Leopard to create the installation drive.
