I'm trying to install HighSierra on my PC.
In the past I run different versions of macOS on that PC, and it worked.

But now I tried a complete fresh installation.

Last information in verbose mode is something related to USBHost (see screenshot), then the screen changed.
Nothing is readable anymore (See other screenshot).

Any help?
Many thanks.

Search for still waiting for root device.

For the root device I found a solution.

But now the root device was found (Screen is switching from black to Grey, no error Messages).
But Nothing happen then.
I didn't found a solution with the search function.

You should boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.

As I said: It's just a Grey screen.

Lot of Outputs in verbose mode.
Then it switches to a Grey (ok, Maybe black) screen and thats it.
No more Output.

Do you have another monitor you could connect with? Try 2 monitor connections one using HDMI and the other using Displayport.

How long have you let the grey screen go? The first install can take about 20-30 minutes, I've had the same grey screen on one monitor while the other shows the install window. After the install they both show up normally, and it may take a few install windows to complete.

So - problem fixed.

Solution was a bit strange:
After removing of all hard drives and SSD it works as expected.

Some tests later:
When the windows installation is in hibernate mode on another SSD the installation is not working.
When the windows installation was shutting down completely the installation is working.

Thanks!
