Let me begin with "Hi I'm a noob" statement. ..."seat's taken" ...hehe

I've been doing a lot of reading lately on water coolers vs stock coolers vs air coolers, etc. There are push and pull configurations and many other combinations depending on case, radiator and if overclocking is a must. I've even seen custom water coolers that cost as much as my CPU its self (insert cha-ching sound). It seems that, like my self, several people use the Corsair H60 to cool their CPUs.

My set-up:

- 10.8.2
- Current Multibeast FakeSMCs / HWMonitor (5.2.1)
- GA-Z77n-Wifi
- HD4000
- 450W SFX Silverstone
- i7 3770 (no overclock)
- Corsair H60, radiator at bottom of case cooled via x1 140mm Akasa Fan (very high static pressure + 110 CFM) - pushing cooler air from outside case into radiator and through the computer
- Silverstone FT03 Mini Case - modded several cables to clear up space and added a silent 60mm fan to move air across the Z77 chipset (which dropped my "northbridge" temp by 10 degrees )

My temps in HWMonitor at idle (23C room temp):

Core 1: 28-35C
Core 2: 28-35C
Core 3: 28-35C
Core 4: 28-35C
CPU Heatsink: 25-30C
Northbridge: 36-38C
HD temp: 26-28C

*temps are almost the same as idle when running 16 tracks in Logic Pro and using ReWire to Reason 5 with multiple midi tracks

My temps in HWMonitor streaming 1080p video (23C room temp):

Core 1: 40-52C
Core 2: 40-52C
Core 3: 40-52C
Core 4: 40-52C
CPU Heatsink: 41-43C
Northbridge: 38-39C
HD temp: 26-28C

My temps in HWMonitor full load (XMP disabled, running 1333Hz ram):

Core 1: 75-90C
Core 2: 75-90C
Core 3: 75-90C
Core 4: 75-90C
CPU Heatsink: 77-82C
Northbridge: 38-42C
HD temp: 26-31C

When I enable XMP in BIOS (1600Hz ram) and run a full load test my CPU temps immediately jump up to the 95-96C mark - which by the way scared the bejesus out of me and I cancelled the program.

This raised a few questions:
- Is HWMonitor completely accurate?
- Does the H60 not provide enough cooling power at high load?
- Are the Ivy Bridges just that hot? (which i've heard they are, but wow)
- Since the radiator is mounted on the bottom of the case and feeding water vertically to cpu block, would that cause the inefficiency?
- Why are core temps so much higher then the CPU heatsink? (seems to be common)

What are your Ivy Bridge temps in HWMonitor and what are your configurations?

Maybe it's your case but in a large tower (Corsair 500r) my i7-3770k is at 33°c at idle (room temp 17°) and 60° at load (gaming) all with the intel basic cooling and no discrete GPU (so using the HD4000). What do you use to push the machine to the max?

i only get temps of the ssd/hdd but nothing else i can add to the monitoring ?
i'm running latest specs on my i7 4770K machine and i want to monitor CPU temp ect..

You need to install FakeSMC plugins from Multibeast

I've the same problem, and normally I already installed FakeSMC from MultiBeast when I finished the installation of Yosemite...

Shall I run again MultiBeast App? (But what should I do?)

Run MultiBeast for Yosemite just selection the FakeSMC Plug-ins and reboot.

I already solved the problem yesterday. So I was thinking and I didn't want to use MultiBeast and only select these 2 kexts, because I was afraid it won't reboot after ^^ lol
So, I opened the package of the app and went to :

Multibeast.app > Contents > Ressources > - FakeSMC-v6.14.1364-Plugins.pkg
Multibeast.app > Contents > Ressources > - FakeSMC-v6.14.1364-HWMonitor.pkg

I ran the packages, rebooted the computer.

And it shows me everything about CPU, GPU...

Hi I still have the problem of the temp, I have the 4770k and the Headsink temp is in the sky arround 110 C, can be a mistake?? the processor runs cool at 40 and other parts too.... have a water-cooling H60.

Help!
