Re: IMPORTANT: 10.7.4 and Unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs [TEMP FIX]

Motherboard: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
CPU: i5-2500K

Just update to 10.7.4

I only added the following without remove GeneratePStates before updating.
Code:
 <key>DropSSDT</key>
   <string>Yes</string>

After reboot, the CPU is not locked at 1.6 GHz

With this configuration are you getting more than just the top and bottom p=state?
Thanks,

Re: IMPORTANT: 10.7.4 and Unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs [TEMP FIX]

So I have the 2500k with Gigabyte GA-H61N-USB3 and after the 10.7.4 install, I got a kernel panic but after I edited the org.chameleon.Boot.plist as described above, it booted fine at full speed!

Thanks for all the work guys!

Re: IMPORTANT: 10.7.4 and Unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs [TEMP FIX]

No Issues with My 2600k on Asus P8Z68M - Pro, actually didn't have to do anything nothing changed at all even sound still works.

Re: IMPORTANT: 10.7.4 and Unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs [TEMP FIX]

I didn't even have to edit anything. I installed the update, installed MultiBeast 4.4 and everything booted fine. PLUS, my system info reflects my overclock speeds natively! Don't know if it was the various updates with MultiBeast or what, but I'm super happy.

Re: IMPORTANT: 10.7.4 and Unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs [TEMP FIX]

Did someone test this update on GA-Z77-DS3H with 2600k ? My system run great, I don't want to mess things if I don't earn something important.

I have that board with a i3 2125. I did a fresh install on 10.7.3 from unibeast, then followed with the combo updater. booted from from unibeast into 10.7.4. (then installed wireless usb drivers, rebooted & downloaded the new multibeast). applied multibeast 4.4 userDSDT (with no DSDT, macmini def, atheros ethernet etc), and ended up with kernel panics at boot re: P states until I made the corrections mentioned at the top post. Otherwise, it so far seems about equivalent.

With the new multibeast 4.4, I didn't get the new audio stuff working with my system (maybe I chose the wrong options? edit: it sounds like I failed to select the correct options, as other reported it working), but the fix involving the ALC887 kext (from the forum) + appleHDA rollback + 887/888 non DSDT enabler still seems to work just fine.

iCloud & MacApp store both seem to work fine as well (hasn't been an issue as far as I know).

As for the intel HD3000 graphics, I don't have the proper setup to test if that is working.

Motherboard: GA-H61M-S2PV CPU: i5-2500K

Just update to 10.7.4

I added after updating.
Code:
<key>DropSSDT</key>
<string>Yes</string>

and the CPU get full speed

Re: IMPORTANT: 10.7.4 and Unlocked Sandy Bridge CPUs [TEMP FIX]

Z68X-UD3H-B3 / 2600K

Geekbench results halved after update, took well over a minute to complete also.

After

<key>DropSSDT</key>
<string>Yes</string>

Scores as before, tests completed in less than a minute.

What a groaner this is turning out to be, CMOS reset problems after sleep also.

guyz i can't
tried fixing Drop SSDT
having some problem
stuck at apple boot logo
if i go on verbose
it says UserdefinedTJmax=0

please fix soon guys :}

Hey

This may work, find your fakesmc.kext and open the info.plist in the package contents.

Search for 'smc-napa'

Below that add

<key>tjmax</key>
<integer>100</integer>

And save

I have my tjmax value set as I run iStat Menus to keep an eye on the temps.

Can't guarantee it will work but I have the same CPU as you.

Thanks
