Ok, I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS5, got 10.7.2, got iTunes 10.5, and got iPhoto 9.2 installed. iCloud'in it up! This has to be one of the biggest free software updates this industry has ever seen. What do you think?

iCloud Issues and Solutions

Issue: Can't log into iCloud.
Solution: Update to latest Chimera 1.5.4

Issue: Still can't log into iCloud
Solution: Follow this guide to reset Network Preferences:
viewtopic.php?f=157&t=23153

Issue: Still can't log into iCloud- this is my first time setting it up!
Solution: Change /Extra/smbios.plist serial number- for example:

Code:
	<key>SMserial</key>
	<string>G88451235J4</string>

change 845123 to something between 750xxx to 905xxx

Code:
	<key>SMserial</key>
	<string>G88451005J4</string>

then reboot.

I would but I keep getting error 3200

Havn't test it yet, but will do it as soon as possible when i upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
So the iphone 3s users left further behind...
Also e-mail accounts synchronised in mobileme, not in icloud!
I'll stick to mobileme for a while.

I get a "This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account" on my P5W DH Lifehacker build when I try to logon through my Hack. I can logon to the iCloud website, Mac app store works and I can access iCloud on my legit Macs.

Any ideas what this could be? Obviously something specific to my Hackintosh.

i got the same, using chameleon r1598.
What bootloader do you use?

P.S. Did you try last chimera?

Getting the same issue as the previous poster. Can log into iCloud account via web though. Was working until I signed out... Now I can't sign back in.

Just a few thoughts:

Serial number?
Ethernet ID?
Some other kind of hardware check?

For those that are getting the "not valid ID" error, what are you using as your device?

I've got the "This Apple ID is valid but is not an iCloud account." message when trying to log in to iCloud. iPhone 4 works fine, as well as online, but not on the G41M-ES2L Hackintosh...

I've also had a problem with the Mac App Store but that hasn't really bothered me, but apparently the two may be linked? The message I get from the MAS is "Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance." I used to get the 'GUID' message but that seems to have been replaced by this one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Lewis

use the latest chimera with the FT fix, and have a serial number in your smbios.
