HW Monitor won't open after OSX 10.9.3 install

I have a new computer (GA-Z87X-UD3H, 16GB memory, using the HD4600 for video) and followed the guide to install OSX Mavericks. I used Multibeast to install the FakeSMC, plugins and the HWMonitor app. When I try to launch it, it never opens. I tried earlier versions of Multibeast installing the FakeSMC, plugins and HWMonitor app and I have the same issue. I really would like to see how hot my CPU and disks are getting.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

I've been having much more concerning issues with HWMonitor lately. I'm using an Asus Z77 board and the HWM app runs wild using vast CPU resources to the point where yesterday it overheated the CPU. I have AppZapped it away now and would not recommend it to anyone. iStat reports all the data on this mobo and CPU just fine so I will continue to use that but not HWM.
