HP Split x2 (Ivy Bridge) - Hackintosh Compatibility

You could at least tell me what wouldn't work in this thread for my hasswell hp split x2, because I've been following this thread and its very similar to what i would do. So could you please tell me what wouldn't work for my laptop in this thread so I could skip those actions?

You'll need to determine that for yourself. For example, DSDT patches may be different, and the only way to know is by going through the process.

The guide covers differences between Sandy/Ivy/Haswell/Broadwell (mostly in what config.plist you start with).

My suggestion: follow the guide/FAQ and deal with problems as you discover them.

All stickies here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-laptop-support/

The possibilities for differences are extensive:
- different WiFi/bluetooth hardware
- definitely different graphics chip
- different DSDT/SSDT, and therefore different patches required
- different CPU, therefore different power management, SMBIOS, etc.
- different audio codec, therefore different AppleHDA
- etc

Hi, there has been a big mistake here, this thread is under the name of Ivy Bridge and everything here is about a Haswell bridge laptop...
Hi Rehabman and Mad Audi Scientist

I am trying to install OS X Yosemite into a newer version of the HP Split X2 13. This spec for this one is:

System: HP Split X2 13
CPU: Intel Core I3-4010Y/ID9C43
Graphics: HD4400, 1366x768
Sound: IDT7695
Wifi/Bluetooth: upgrade to Azurewave AW-CE123H 802.11ac/nbg WiFi+BT Broadcom BCM4352 867Mbps Bluetooth 4.0
I have also installed an OCZ 240GB 2.5" SSD in the keyboard.

Also rPalmpinoy computer is the same as the one discussed on this forum...

This forums are helpfull and it's a shame that they mislead...

Thanks!

Initial posts were regarding Ivy Split X2 (read post #3, for an example).

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"
