How's it working?

No good I'm afraid. After restarting, I waited a minute then put the laptop to sleep. Then I woke it up. After a few seconds.. KP.

Just a thought, I don't have a battery in - I'm running on mains only as I'm trying to preserve the life of the battery by not using it when I don't need it. Do you think this might be related?

Stick it in and try.

That could easily be it.

I put in the battery. I put it to sleep. I resumed from sleep. I started writing a reply to you saying that it's been 40 seconds since resuming from sleep and no KP when.. KP. Why is this happening?

With battery in, extract a DSDT.

I'll patch that. Until you finish this test leave it in.

Battery definitely can effect it.

We used to have a KP when we slept plugged in and woke not plugged in.

Apple fixed that later. But they always expect a battery.

Ok, battery back in and I'm booting in to windows now. Chkdsk wants to run first as it says my disk needs to be checked for consistency.

There we are squire..
