I have the same laptop HP Gaming Pavilion 15-Cx0xxx and want to convert to Hackintosh.
Not sure if this help, but our chipset is HM370. I stumbled upon a post by user "littlegreen" here:

[Guide] HP Pavilion ce0501na 14" - i5-8520U - 8GB RAM

He has provided config files for the business model ce0501na which lacks the nvidia gpu added in our upgraded gaming editions. There is still the question if we can utilize our NVidia GPU and set as default in mac os.
I recently did a factory restore on my HP laptop and initally the Intel GPU was defauted as a generic display adapter. The NVidia was not recognized at all. A few tylenols before I found a working combinatin of drivers which needed to be installed in a specific order to get them both working properly. The intended functionallows the user to decide which gpu to use for each app when executed in order to save enegery. In order to benchmark the nvidia, i had to switch this setting myself. Any suggestions on what to try first? I'm ready to take a stab at it.
