Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "
Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "
Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/
Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "
Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.
And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.

The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"
Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"
Dear RehabMan,
first of all, thank you for your reply...
I have read so many posts on this page and forum that my head is spinning, I have been fighting with this laptop for over 48 hours with no success at all, apart from getting more and more grey hair....
I have read your instructions at the following link:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/
and to be sincere, there aree too many "if"s for "then" to ever happen. If UEFI, If Legacy, if this, if that...
Is there a possibility to have a guide for us, common mortals, not being experts in making such installations, "stupid" users that are used to put a DVD in the drive and install OS???

Regarding BIOS, it is a very old and very stupid BIOS, with NO UEFI boot options, it is over 12 yrs old laptop. The only relevant thing I can set in it is the boot order, nothing else, there is no AHCI, legacy, nothing.
Is there a possibility to get instructions or a step by step guide for this specific laptop, like download this, do this, put only these kexts, boot, install, enjoy, etc?
Or should I just instal Ubuntu on it, tried it, works quite OK, although I do not like it much, I am a Mac user?
Thank you very much for your effort.
