HP EliteBook 8440p and Mavericks

Hi.

I was trying installing OS X Mavericks on EliteBook 8440p using a USB stick made with UniBeast. But the installation hangs after creating some partitions in memory and Bluetooth Transport testing (whether I switch WiFi and Bluetooth card on or off).

Has anyone tried installing Mavericks on 8440p yet?

Post detailed specs for your laptop. I think this may be gen1 Core i-series, in which case your graphics are not really supported, but you might refer to here and see how it goes: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/286092-guide-1st-generation-intel-hd-graphics-qeci/

edit: HP 8440p with integrated graphics. Trying to install Mavericks

I finally running Mavericks on 8440p, kind of stable without sound.

unibreast with 10.9.2 and start with -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes, PCIRootUID=1, npci=3x0000

that's work for me, patch 10.9.3.. but time to time lost usb ports, dont know why. usb port works fine in safemode (-x)

i’m new in the mackintosh world, i have a imac but i wanted to install mavericks in my HP 8440P

i5 2.4ghz

everything is ok without :
no sound
no wifi ( but intel card, which can explain )
no battery icon ( each time i select it, it disappear immediately)

i used multibeast mavericks edition but i didn’t succeeded.

could you explain me which text i need to inject to be ok ?

Audio: Best result with patched AppleHDA. Google 'patch AppleHDA guide'. Search for suitable AppleHDA or patch it yourself. Apply appropriate DSDT patches.

DSDT/SSDT extraction is best done with Linux.

Patchmatic is designed to be run from Terminal. You can't double click on it and expect it to do something useful. It is showing you patchmatic usage help.
