Motherboard
ASRock A320M-HD
CPU
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor
Graphics
Radeon RX 570 4 GB
My motherboard is ASRock A320M-HD.
Audio CODEC is Realtek ALC887.

In readme of AppleALC have this:
AppleALC accepts different boot arguments to control its behaviour:
  • alcid=layout — to set value layout-id

The wiki says that these layouts are supported:
layout 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, 33, 40, 50, 52, 53, 87, 99
But which one should I use?

trial and error

test 1 and see if it works, of not try the next etc

Can the wrong layout cause some microphone or headphone jacks not to work?

Hi there

Yes, but only while the layout is in use.

Once you change it again the results can be different. There will be one layout that enables all the audio ports you have - Line In / Out, Mic, Digital, HDMI etc etc. Some layouts may only enable one or two ports.
