How To: Build your own "Real" Airport Card

For those of you who can't find the driver for the BCM94322MC drivers for Win7 the link below has a download link at the bottom of the page which gets you the HP default driver. My build of Win7 Ultimate 64 couldn't find the right driver when it searched itself and this download worked for me. Now it works great.

I got both items last week but I had since sent the mobo back for repair/replacement.
I was really looking forward to putting this in my hack.

I never seem to have any luck with wireless and hackintoshes..

I'm able to connect to my router, get an IP, but there's no internet connection. When I ping the router, it times out.

In Ubuntu the card works great, no problems there. My hackintosh netbook works great with my router.

I've deleted:
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist

I'm assuming I don't have to rebrand the card since it shows up as airport extreme already.

I've fixed permissions, rebuilt the kext cache, rebooted, removed and added airport from the network interface list, swapped antennae,even did a clean install on another HDD, and I'm getting ready to sacrifice a goat.

Look in my build specs link, I have posted in the middle section of what two parts I got.
Winking was unavailable so I got another 3.3v one and it works fine OOB.

Successfully built with the Apple branded BCM94322MC card few months ago and now doing another one for my second hack. I don't want to spend too much and see the HP BCM94322 cards. Do I have to use the prasys method to "brand" it to an Apple card or will it work OOB?

I ordered your adapter. This will be my third different 3.3v adapter. I sure hope I can get it to work.

I used this adaptor and it worked fine. One thing though, it didn't come with anything to screw the airport card onto, the winking one had standoffs. Anyway, just used some very small screws and nuts and shimmed up under the airport card with metal washers to keep it level and it works great.

Which wifi card / pci-e adapter are you peeps having the best success with?
is the BCM94322MC still tops?
doesn't sound like the Winking adapter available anymore.
