I try Final Cut X 10.4.2 and have problems to export I return to the version 10.3.4

I see your EFI and I do not use WhateverGreen.kext. You use Thunderbolt and I do not see a ssdt .. is not it necessary so that it works well??

This is graphic card that I use.

I have no Thunderbolt card, I only use DP,and I only use Mac OS 10.13.3 it can be work great with Final Cut Pro 10.4.2.and the QuickTime Player can building a new recording

I have the same problem in iMovie since update to 10.13.4 . As soon as I export, it crashes, the only thing still working is the mouse pointer, all the rest doesn't. Also Option - command - escape isn't doing anything. I already completely removed iMovie, including preference and library. Also changed AVX to 7 as was suggested by someone, doesn't make any difference. It's not in one project, none of the projects export anymore.
Don't know if related but I also have the RX580...

Start with what KGP recommends in his guide:

1. AVX: 3
2. AVX-512: 2

If you continue to see crashes, increase AVX in increments of 1. I have mine set to 5. My AVX-512 is set to 2.

Having an AVX512 offset lower than AVX offset doesn't make much sense as it's been shown AVX512 are far more resources hungry, using almost 30% more power. Now macOS by default doesn't make use of avx512 instructions, but specialised apps would.

In 10.13.4 apple gives support for:

• AMD Radeon RX 570, RX 580, and Radeon Pro WX 7100
  • Recommended graphics cards include the Sapphire Pulse series and the AMD WX series
• AMD Sapphire Vega 56
• AMD XFX Vega 56
• AMD Sapphire Vega 64
• AMD XFX Vega 64
• AMD Frontier Edition air-cooled AMD Radeon Pro WX 9100

I think it may be for this reason.
In 10.13.3 there was no problem and I think the problem is the new software that uses the graphic card to render.

option 1 - restore 10.13.3 (by not having support the system will not work with the video software updated)
option 2 - restore old version final cut x, iMovie, etc.( software updated that uses the graphic card to encode by hardware)
Old software no support this feature I will not use it in 10.13.4.

I use RX580 in 10.13.4 and updated to 10.13.4 SU with 0 problems and graphic card work OOB , no work for me audio for dp/hdmi , in benchmark with WhateverGreen.kext v1.1.7 it's lower and without him rises.

Maybe it could be the drivers that need an update. Everything else works perfectly.

Just a heads up. A later and better maintained DP monitor control program can be sourced here.... I'm a fan and it works flawlessly with my LG ultra wide.
