oki helped myself here.. was that 2nd gtx1080ti card that caused that problem..
btw: anyone running 2x gpu cards on a hackingtosh ??

It's quite usual to run 2x GPU on one Hackintosh ...such configuration usually also works pretty well on Skylake-X/X299...

It's good form to keep your sig updated kgp.
Otherwise it causes a LOT of confusion with readers thinking "why are they doing this?" or "why are they having this trouble?"
This thread is very popular and it's difficult for most of us to remember just who has changed what components. Some of them seem to change parts as often as they change their underwear
It seems to be getting better now, but not that long ago there was huge confusion around just who should be modding their bios, and it's always good to remind Gigabyte users that they shouldn't do this. Hence my post.

It's great you can remember everyone here! Maybe you are a lot younger than me ;)
And thanks again for a great guide.

I don’t think that I am a lot younger than you, if younger at all, Pete :).. don’t get confused by my avatar

You are totally right that profiles and signatures should be kept as actual and as complete as possible.. anything else just results in a mess and total confusion.. Do you know how many times a day I advise people to do so? o_O

Okidoki man, let’s keep on rocking ;)

I'm having a similar issue (at least it seems similar to me). I'm getting a KP when booting from the USB to start the install (see attached image).

My mobo is a ASRock X299 PROFESSIONAL GAMING I9 LGA 2066. Is it even possible to install with this motherboard? My CPU is an i9-7900x. I've been beating my dead against the wall for 2 days. :(

@stevelucky I was actually able to install and boot into HS several times from a USB disk prepared as per the guide. It was only when I upgraded to nVidia's driver and put the VoodooHDA in the EFI/Clover/kexts/Other folder that it refused to boot. When I tried booting from the USB, it gave me the same error, and now after re-preparing the USB, I am stuck! :(

I'm telling you this as the guide might work for you if you follow it exactly to the letter!

Well, I thought I did. I ran every terminal command and followed the guide step by step. I created the USB stick just like it says, prepared my SSD just like it says and tried to boot from the USB installer to install macOS to my SSD and that’s when I get the error that I show above. Is there something that I’m missing?

@stevelucky I am not in the same boat. Can not figure out what am I missing. Hopefully @kpg will help us

@stevelucky, @jaraheel ,

You opted for the ASRock X299 PROFESSIONAL GAMING I9 LGA 2066 and ASUS Rampage VI Extreme instead of the ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe...

Don't expect my guide, incl. BIOS settings and EFI-Folder to be 100% compatible with these mainboards!

The baseline for my guide, BIOS settings and EFI-Folder is the ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe.

I think I did not only mention once that it is your personal responsibility to account for deviations from the guide, BIOS settings and EFI-Folder, when opting for mainboards different from the ASUS Prime X299 Deluxe.

I am not a magician, and I cannot provided support for boards I don't own or I have no experience with.

Good luck and enjoy,

KGP

@Ramalama can you please post your EFI folder? I am running the same motherboard and would love to have a working hack. Thanks in advance

I guess your problem is rather your homemade system configuration than 10.13.3 ;)

At least you witness yourself when starting an inadequate conspiracy

iTunes just works flawless, also with 10.13.3 ;)

Happy bug fixing, dude! ;)

Haha, I'm sure I bungled something in the install. I do want to be able to solve this on my own, just looking for the next step here.

It looks like this issue is not limited to iTunes as I previously said, I think it is a xnu issue. I was able to KP the computer by playing RED Helium footage in Resolve at full res debeyer (uses all 36 threads at 100%). And I found out how to get the panic report through using Google! :D

If anyone knows how to read this garble-gook I would be honored for the assistance. Thank you!
