How to build your own iMac Pro [Successful Build/Extended Guide]

Not open for further replies.
Having some trouble getting up and running with iMac Pro 1,1. Not sure what I'm missing, but I get stuck at this screen on boot for about a minute and then it shuts off. I followed the guide closely so I'm not sure what I'm missing. Not sure what the problem is with OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi I had no trouble whatsoever with iMac 17,1 and OsxAptio2Fix. Used the EFI file at the end of the post. Any help would be much appreciated!

You could try replacing OsxAptioFix3Drv with an updated AptioMemoryFix (read the thread, there is a binary from yesterday).
For me, this was the only way to boot after updating Clover to r4382.

I'm having issues with getting sound working. Specifically, thru HDMI from graphics. I've went through all three methods and had no success.
AppleALC had basic options in syspref pane, but no HDMI
Voodoo had 4 HDMI options, none worked
Realtek had zero options in sysprefs pane

I should add that I haven't loaded Windoze and realize that may be an issue....

Everything else is running well with latest updates installed, thanks to all for that!

try disconnecting old usb devices (bluetooth v.2.1 dongle in my case). this did the trick for me

Wonder if anyone could provide some help. I have a very similar setup to the one used in the guide (i7 7800x, asus x299 mobo, gtx 1080) at had it all working last night when all of a sudden the system froze and wouldn't respond, had to do a hard power reset to get out of it. Afterwards I was no longer able to boot back into macOS. been trying for most of the day now to reinstall but haven't been able to get past the beginning of the USB install. It hangs up at or just before the ++++++++ part of the install and won't respond then shuts down after about 30 seconds of not responding. I've tried just about every suggestion I can find and haven't been able to solve it. any help would be much appreciated.

Back from visiting @DSM2 near Hannover..

See below our little Rockit Cool joint venture of today ;)

If you have an Monitor with DDC (for example 38uc99) look at this thread to get native brightness:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...splaybrightness-0-0-5-testing-updated.205564/

Use that app + Clover Patch
The Clover patch is absolutely necessary for everyone, except if you have a apple keyboard with brightness keys!

This is by far the second most Amazing hackintosh thing for me, the most amazing is AptioMemoryFix :)

If 10.13.3 will be released, we have reached everything we can get with x299 :)

Cheers :)

Try resetting CMOS. Once you do, remember to set your BIOS settings to the state recommended by the guide. Resetting CMOS resets BIOS settings to their default states. If resetting CMOS doesn't work, reinstall the BIOS. Just like resetting CMOS, if you have to reinstall your BIOS, you'll have to restore its settings to the values recommended by the guide.

If you reset your CMOS and/or reinstall BIOS and your machine doesn't boot afterward, give it more tries. Mine loves to throw a memory-related POST code the first reboot after a CMOS reset and/or BIOS update, so keep calm and keep trying to boot and maybe open your case up so you can see your board's POST code display. It's really helpful to be able to see when your board is throwing a POST code while you're dealing with Aptio fails.

That's true Sonnet Presto Gigabit card have native support so you don't need any kext, only one IntelMausi for I219V and that's all :)

About ACPI hmmm... at this moment I don't have enough knowledge, I still try to find good explanation how to do it
before ask details here... - I would like to understeand simple proces where exactly find needed numbers etc
then with a big pleasure I will share "how to.." for others...

I'm sure someone will be able to tell you something more about that, it's depend your config and what you use actually... so you have some things very important and some things just cosmetics...:)
I'm having some weird issues with IntelMasuiEthernet kext, it seems to be causing some KPs usually after or before sleep. I found that having WOL increased the rate of these KPs, unfortunately disabling WOL doesn't seem to help much.
Does anyone else experience this or does their i219 work fine? I'm also using the other i211 with the SmallTree kext and that seems to be working great with no such issues..

This is the KP that I'm getting
