Yes. The Combo updates allow you to go from 10.6.0 to 10.6.6.

Sorry for the late reply, can I install the 10.6.6 combo update without updating to 10.6.5?
I keep getting an error when i am installing Snow Leopard.

What kind of error do you still have?

What did you select when you used MultiBeast?

I get something about installation has failed and it tells me to restart and i have tried that twice. It had never happened before.

I have HD5670 and got HDMI audio and ALC889 audio work at same time.
I think it's maybe the same way to make it works with HD5770.

First, in order to make HD5670 work through HDMI and DisplayPort,
I update the system to 10.6.6, because I need to patch ATIFramebuffer.kext
The way to patch please refer to the following link.

Once you got HDMI video output to monitor, you can edit your DSDT.
The only thing is to add GXF and HDAU code.
After adding some code into DSDT, you should get HDMI video and audio.

Then, you can start to patch the AppleHDA.kext in order to get ALC88x work.
My audio chip was ALC889, so I replace the 8508EC10 with 8908EC10 in AppleHDA.
After that, both ALC889 and HDMI audio works like a charm.
I can switch the audio output between HDMI and ALC889.

HDMI+ALC889.tiff

For your reference.
Good luck.

Yes, the DSDT you attached includes GFX0 and HDAU. You can use Search in DSDTSE to see the edits. Have you checked your display address on your motherboard? If it is 3, your DSDT is fine. If it is 1, then you have to move the edits. You can use IORegistryExplorer to verify your edits. Good luck.

Please, tell me where exactly are these edits. In other words, what file in Contents should I edit? What version of AppleHDA are you using?

Did you add GXF0 and HDAU under P0P3 in your DSDT.aml ?
Can you attach your DSDT.aml for reference ?
Because I have the same MB as yours (GA-X58A-UD3R) and I can get HDMI audio with MSI Hawk 5770 in other MBs like Asus P6TSE or P6TWS Prof in SL 10.6.6/10.6.7/Lion GM.
However, in GA-X58A-UD3R I can get ALC-889 working alone without HDMI audio in SL 10.6.8 or Lion GM. Looking forward to your help ASAP.
