3k for 2x4GB corsair vengeance 1600mhz running on dual channel? Can someone explain this to me. I've seen people getting better score with 1 stick of 4gb ram LOL.

2 things spring to mind here:

1. Have you checked and correctly set your XMP settings in the bios.

2. Have you installed those 2 sticks in the correct slots; they usually need to go in a particular pair of slots when using just 2 sticks. Check your motherboard manual for this.

Were also first 2 things that came to my mind, but:

1. Yes, I have it on profile 1 (1600mhz), otherwise it's down to 1333mhz.

2. Yes, was pretty careful about this when assembling my system, even checked with CPU-Z and it clearly says "dual channel".

Don't freaking tell me I have a bad stick :I

Why dont you try with a single stick then and see if the results are the same.....
