Why wait till what you want gets sold out ? Those new Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7 boards are already out of stock at Amazon. Once they're gone, they're gone as they are out of production.

I'd suggest that you or anyone reading this sign up for Newegg's email deals so you get the discount codes.

I've signed up. Holy cow! I should've just ordered one and returned it later. Silly me. I was planning on using Amex's Pay It, Plan It thing to buy everything at once to break it down into monthly payments. I might as well get it and return it later if I have an issue.

I waited because I wanted to know if I wanted to commit to iOS development and whatnot, and I need a better PC going forward.

What you buy now on Amazon or Newegg is eligible for returns usually till Jan. 31st due to all the gift buying. So if you celebrate Xmas on the 25th of Dec. there's still at least one month for the gift receiver to send it back.

I almost forgot about that. That's great to hear. Do you have any recommended, combined (2 products for WiFi and Bluetooth) alternatives to the Fenvi, since I missed (and I'm very sorry about that; I bought the board for now) the sale by the official seller? I can sacrifice Facetime, iMessage, etc, for now, I just need my Magic Trackpad and Logitech K480 to connect to it.

Here's currently the list of what's recommended (some are out of stock, but list alternatives):

Yeah, no point in that otherwise I’d get an MX Master, lol.

Got it, thanks!

Edit, fwiw, when I google'd it (unless it was for a different model), I got a result for it on NewEgg from a different seller. I appreciate the link a lot.

Edit: never mind

For some reason the i5 8600 is cheaper than the i5 8500. I've heard that the smaller four digit number means that it's better...but according to this site, the one with the bigger number is better. Which one should I buy?

On Newegg, the 8600K is ten dollars cheaper than the 8600. It shouldn't cause any compatibility issues, right?

Site in reference: https://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i5-8600-vs-Intel-Core-i5-8500/m477251vsm447884

Does it matter (in either speed or compatibility with installing macOS) that I use a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 Flash Drive?

Is there an alternative to the recommended fan that is still as good, but will ship faster?

I have ASUS VivoBook S512 S15 that in my opinion perfectly fits your requirements. The keyboard is a big minus but it is always possible to connect one you know suits your work.
