skywalker89 said:I am also very new to installing OSX on a computer. I have tried on my older computer and was never successful. I have the same type of computer you have and would like to know what method was used to install. You mentioned that you used the UniBeast. If I used that method, do I need to have Snow Leopard already installed? Any help as to first steps would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
No, you don't need to have Snow Leopard. You better to have the Lion. Order the USB Lion from Apple. Or if you have Mac, download it from the app store.
Can you please download the DSDT Patcher and extract the DSDT from yours XPS? What BIOS you have? A06? I have the A06, the DSDT extract didn't look like those extract from XPS 15 or 17. I would like to see your DSDT.aml if you can extract for me.

Follow the Unibeast Guide:
http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2011/10/ ... using.html
Also, download the MultiBeast 4.1.2 from the download menu.
All you need is the the UserDSDT, FakeSMC, NullCPUPowerManagement, PS/2 Keyboard/Mice and Trackpad in MultiBeast.
Then Patch the SpeedStepper I post before. After the SpeedStepper patch you can delete the NullCPUPowerManagement Kext from S/L/E folder.
Also you need to put your DSDT.aml into /Extra folder
For the Sound, you need ALC665 patch I post before.
For the Wireless, you have buy the compatible Wireless Card from ebay and replace the Centrino Card that come with the machine.
