Issue/Problem:

"Unknown Display" on new Hackintosh build. MacOS Display Settings show "Unknown Display" and only 1 available resolution (see screenshot). Monitor connected to GPU via HDMI does work, but only at one resolution (2560 x 1444). My other hackintosh builds show a specific display name and several options for resolutions.

Build Specs:
  • Store bought gaming PC: CLX - SET Gaming Desktop
  • CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz (Comet Lake)
  • Motherboard: ASRock B560M-C (Intel B560 Chipset)
  • GPU: Radeon RX 6600 XT (Model: RX-665X8D)
  • OpenCore version: 0.8.8
  • macOS version: Ventura 13.0.1

Steps taken:

1. All kexts including Lilu and Whatevergreen updated through current

2. Used gfxutil to find gpu path. Added path to config (see screenshot)

3. Added "agdpmod=pikera" to boot args (see screenshot)

4. Reset NVRAM. Tried with and without the added device property lines.

Instead of the device ID for the 6900 device, I used the device ID for a 6600 device, which is: FF730000. There is a whole database of device IDs for AMD GPUs, which you can find by googling "Coelacanths Dream AMD GPU Database". Of course, you could use Hackintool to find the device ID, but if your device is too new, macOS won't support it. So, you need to go with a lower id, and not necessarily the Hackintool provided one.
